Most of my paintings
start with the underlying geometry of the Fibonacci sequence of numbers
(0,1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21....) to create a composition of the classic nine, or
spiral shape. Nature always inspires me to paint her creatures and
abundant variety. I have fallen in love with collage, and use old book
pages which sometimes generate the titles for the work and inspire
imagery.

I put together a slide show of the making of the five backdrop paintings I did for the Dominican Hospital Foundation fashion show at the Cocoanut Grove, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk on November 21, 2008.The slide show ends with the fashion show.
