Denise has been teaching art since 1998 starting with the Cultural Council of Santa Cruz County as a SPECTRA Art teacher. She taught at various elementary schools in the county through SPECTRA including Brook Knoll, Boulder Creek, Bradley, Calabasas, Freedom, Hall, and most recently, for the past seven years at Scotts Valley Middle School.

She also teaches workshops for children at the Museums of Art and History in Santa Cruz during the summer in July. This summer “That’s a Print” workshop involved learning print techniques from linoleum cuts to mono-prints. Also this winter, on Saturday, December 12th, she will offer a special holiday gift class from 10-12pm.

In July of last year, 2008,  Denise taught at the Suzuki International Music Festival at the Santa Clara Convention Center, providing an extracurricular class for music students.
